It is still produced in Szekler  families in the name of self-sufficiency. In the Szeklerland, homemade bread with potatoes was already valued as a noble food at the beginning of the 20th century, and a part of the village population and urban families made it themselves until the middle of the 20th century. Homemade bread that combines tradition and natural ingredients is considered extremely valuable today.
