Below is a traditional country-style house furnished with rustic furniture. The building has 2 separate entrances and 2 living spaces (with similar structure), and a shared basement (kitchen, dining room).
Country houses or village museums are open-air ethnographic collections that, with locally collected and preserved objects, represent the traditional material culture of the given settlement or region, so in the furnished interiors of buildings significant from the point of view of folk architecture (perhaps classified as folk monuments), homes, sometimes workshops, farm buildings or the more rudimentary industrial facilities are presented.
The country house functions as a community place for the given settlement, and actively participates in bringing education and local traditional knowledge to life and preservation.
Experience has shown that a country house or a local folk monument always contributes in a favorable way to shaping the image of the settlements – In addition, this decision is important from the tourism point of view, because among the visitors from different countries of the world, there are also those who come to Transylvania with the aim of visiting World Heritage sites.
